Magnification (Power): Riflescopes are oftentimes referred to by two numbers disunited by an “x”. For example: 4×40. The initial number is the power or exposure of the scope. With a “4x”, the object being viewed appears to be four times closer than when seen with the unaided eye.

Objective Lens Size: The second number in the formula (4×40) is the diameter of the goal to be attained or front lens. The more spectacular the goal to be attained lens, the more light that enters the scope, and the more glorious the image.

Field of View (F.O.V.): The side-to-side measurement of the circular looking at field or subject area. It is specified by the width in feet or meters of the area visible at 1000 yards or meters. A wide angle binocular features a wide field of view and is better for following action. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the field of view.

Reticle: A reticle is the crosshair or pattern placed in the eyepiece of the scope which establishes the gun’s position on the target.

Ahh, BUSHNELL SCOPE, very good… set to >3×50< it doesn't get no clearer than nat for paintball snipin'. Multi X riticule lines are thinner around the center of the scope. No tool needed to adjust windage & elevation. Multi coated lenses, adjustable from 3 to 9 times power, shock proof! water proof!!! what more do you want come on your killin' me, just look at the shoulder leading up to the objective lens. The "Bushnell Banner" is crazy nice SON!!!
