If you are going to invest the cash in a portable GPS system, you will have to likewise have a safe way to carry it. The Lowepro Navi Plus GPS Case is a commodious way to carry your GPS and coordinate your GPS accessories. Like other Lowepro bags and cases I’ve looked at, this case is well made. It is lightweight, sturdy, and the zippers and Velcro are well secured and durable. Actually, this is two cases in one, which I’ll address shortly. But overall, it is a very handy carrying case for a portable GPS system, and could be employed for other little items as well. First, let’s look at the pouch that is inside. It is a little pouch that will hold a 4.3 to 5 inch handheld GPS system. The top flap folds over and attaches to the front with Velcro to secure it. On one side there is a D loop sewn to the side of the pouch. There is a clip on the inside of the more prominent bag to secure this littler pouch inside, or you could attach it to something else. There are also two little memory card pockets sewn in the inside of this little pouch. It is well padded for it is size and has soft material inside to not scratch a screen. This pouch is for when you want to take just the GPS and leave accessaries behind. The more spectacular bag has a divider in the middle that is attached at both ends with Velcro, so you may take it out if you wish. You may place the littler pouch with the GPS on one side of this divider and secure it with the clip that is attached inside. The top of the bag has a dual zipper, so you may unzip it either direction. Zipper seems sturdy and well made. There is likewise a mesh netting on the inside of the top flap that will hold little items. Additionally, on both ends there are little pockets with fold down flaps that Velcro to secure them. There is a little padded handle on the top of the case for carrying. One item the case does not have, that I wish it did, was a loop on the outside to secure it to a back pack, belt, etc. Or a carrying strap. It looks like you could without apparent effort have a couple of loops attached to the back of the case that a belt could fit through that might make it posing no difficulty to carry in a lot of situations. That or it could have a carrying strap that could be slung over a shoulder like a lot of camera bags. Just a thought and something I felt might make it more versatile. Overall, if you are looking for a little case to carry your GPS and a few accessories, this is a outstanding little case. It has enough room and protection for the GPS, car power adapter, and the separate speaker attachment. It’s not bulky as it fits everything together with no extra room. You can’t put the suction cup in there…those should be on the car permanently anyway. The more you remove the suction cup, the less desirable it becomes in sticking to the glass. So, it’s better to leave those on the windows permanently. Overall, it’s a great product for the price. I recommend this to anyone who need a case that want to put the main accessories together. If you want a case just for the GPS without the accessories, then you might consider something else that has a perfect slim fit for a nuvi 37xx series. |
